Azaz/Syria - The story of the eight-year-old Muhammad

As grief and challenges rise, there is someone who casts a shadow of hope and determination into a world of despair. Muhammad, a name that carries within its letters a story of steadfastness and determination.

In the city of Tal Rifaat, Eight-year-old Mahmoud's family lives with his child Muhammad, who is fighting cancer in his eye and has been completely disabled since birth. The war forced them to migrate to the city of Azaz, where there is no source of livelihood and no hope of finding work.

The severe earthquake completely destroyed their home, and forced them to move to alternative housing that did not contain the most basic necessities of life. In these harsh circumstances, Sened Organization intervened with even simple support, through the financial grant provided to this family. They used this grant to help them purchase some heating supplies to protect them from the harsh winter.

The child’s father, Mahamoud, says, “We benefited from Sened’s grant and we bought some firewood for heating, but it is not enough. We hope that there will be other grants during the winter. Thank you to the Sened organization.”

It is a story that contains the strength of will and the beauty of sacrifice. A family defies circumstances, and a child who resists illness and disability with determination embodies perseverance and hope in times of difficulty.
