“My children are now in school, and I struggle
and live for them on every day.”
The father, who has a
disability at the age of two,
despite the great difficulties and challenges, continued to strive to provide
the best life for his family and his three children.
The 47-year-old father
says, “On the night of the earthquake, I told my wife to make a small cake for
our children to take with them because they had a school the next day. We
stayed up for it until 1 am.”
With the earthquake
that destroyed everything around them, the family found themselves in a
situation they did not expect. Their homes were affected and they lost many of
their personal items and possessions. They were not even able to provide
adequate protection for their children, as one of the children suffered
fractures and injuries from falling stones during the earthquake.
The father says,
“Everything changed after the earthquake, but through the shopping card
provided by the Sened organization, we bought household needs and the
children’s needs, from the well-known market in Turkey A101, and some things
that could make us happy and make my children happy, and from here I want to
thank you.” All again."
The shopping card
helped secure the basic needs of this family who tried and are still trying to
get back on their feet.
“Children are studying now, and I am fighting
for them and I hope that the future will be bright for them.”
This story is not only
about overcoming difficulties, but about the human spirit that emerges in times
of crisis. Despite the traumas and hardships this family faced, they continued
to maintain hope and faith that a better tomorrow would come.
