About SENED
SENED is an independent non-governmental and non-profit organization established in 2013 and registered in Turkey with the number 27-15-175. SENED was established by a group of humanitarian and social activists in responding to the Syrians suffer since 2011. SENED has become specialized in working with and supporting people with special needs since 2015 due to the realization of the tremendous tragedy that people with special needs live in Syria through periodic visits to their places.
Job Purpose
Based in Adana, Project Technical Officer is under the line management of Protection Coordinator
He/She will be responsible:
o To conduct and follow up non-formal education, social cohesion and protection activities, implement case management and IPA interventions for the cases of project beneficiaries, supervise updating service mapping and make referrals
Key Activities/Tasks/Duties
o Plan, conduct and follow up non-formal education, social cohesion and protection activities in Adana project center,
o Plan and follow up Turkish language trainings including teachers, classes and beneficiaries with their attendance lists.
o Implement case management and individual protection assistance activities through assessment, case planning, case implementation, follow up and case closure through regular case committee meetings.
o Work with the team in the organization and externally to identify and register individual cases requiring protection intervention in the field and/or through community center visit,
o Identify protection cases and case follow up until case closure, implement IPA intervention plans as per CM/IPA SOP
o Accompanying beneficiaries for referrals etc. if necessary
o Organize and attend the meeting with other organization in Adana, and represent Sened.
o Supporting the service mapping and keeping service map updated
o Reporting and assisting Project Manager and Protection Coordinator for project reports.
o Support to record registered cases in the database in a timely manner and update information as necessary and ensure that progress is updated in the database,
o Ensuring accurate, timely and secure data entry of all the cases.
o Planning and implementation of outreach for information dissemination regular and innovative ways
o Work with logistic and procurement department for procurement of needed goods/services.
o Contribute to project strategies and to programme development in protection sector.
Required Qualifications (Education/Languages/Work Experience):
Essential
Bachelor Degree in Education, Psychology, or any other relevant field.
Advance level in the Arabic language.
Advance level in the Turkish language.
Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in a similar position.
Desirable
Intermediate skills in the English language.
Native level in Arabic and/or Turkish language
Experience working with Persons Living with Disabilities.
Verified experience in humanitarian work and principles.
IT and Equipment
Elementary proficiency with Microsoft package.
